Daddy Monkey is home!

Daddy Monkey came home last night! Mom and Dad picked him up at the airport in DC, and I met them at their house to bring him home…  He has his first baby doctor appointment today!

Only 4 more days til Daddy Monkey comes home, just in time for the heat wave. Though our heat wave here is probably a cool day in Bahrain, so I don’t think he’ll mind too much.

Bring on the Dog Slobber!

I was at the allergist/asthma doc again for a follow-up. She thinks 20 days of antibiotics might have been enough, but since I'm still not "good", just "better", if I get worse in the next week I'm sposed to call up again and get some more. Sigh. Here's hoping.

I also asked her about the chance of Spawn also being allergic to, oh, everything cool, like me. Since Daddy Monkey doesn't really have huge allergies (well, when he's sick of the cats he claims to be allergic sometimes, but somehow he was still snuffling in Bahrain. Hmmmm.), she says it's a pretty good chance that Spawn won't have huge problems. Yay. And luckily we're doing something right. Apparently have 3 or more pets (but not 1 or 2) does great things for building up immune systems and allergies. Dirt is apparently good (at least in moderation!). She said don't stress if dogs lick the baby- put him on the floor and let him play around with the silly mutts!

So really, this begs the question: can I have my Great Dane now??? It's good for Spawn!!!

In other news, after a month of iron supplements I had the exact same iron level- so now I'm on a super-duper iron pill! YAY! Russ says Spawn will come out like Iron Man. I say Wolverine :)

The doc also said by the measurments that Spawn is a "good-size" baby and that everything else looks fine.

Daddy Monkey comes home soon, in 12 days! He'll be home on April 29th, and gets to go to his first doctor's appointment the very next day! Jet lag is for wimps!

Spawn's Room- More Pics

The Crib is in Spawn's Room

Let's start out by saying that Spawn now has a room! Mom and Dad came down and moved around furniture, steam cleaned the carpet, and set up the crib! Here it is, with sheets and everything! I'll update with more pics later, right now I'm doing this from my phone, because in all the rearranging, the internet is down (I think it has something to do with unplugging the tv in Spawn's room- the cable in our house is really funny). So, more pics to come (taken with a real camera, not my phone)!
